My name is Chrysta Szalkowski. I have been in the beauty industry for 24yrs. My family and I moved from the Metro Detroit to Northern Michigan 13 years ago. I specialize in all things hair and makeup.
In the salon I am a L’OREAL professional hair colorist & on site I am a will a bridal\special event hair stylist with well over 600 weddings successfully executed throughout my career!
Moving here to Northern Michigan has been such an amazing experience for me and my family, to live in one of the most beautiful areas for weddings and opportunities for making a living at what you love doing. I would love to be apart of your big day!

rials with Chrysta . The first trial we didn't quite get to a hair style that we were both thrilled with, so we did a second trial a month or so later and then we found the one! I showed Chrysta a few inspiration pictures and then we tried multiple different styles. The makeup was also impeccable! Chrysta also did the hair/makeup for my bridesmaids and flower girl and everyone looked wonderful! I would absolutely hire Chrysta again.

aight and does not hold a curl at all. Chrysta fixed it in such a way I almost cried! Then she sprayed it and it held the entire night. I was worried about makeup since I don’t wear a lot of makeup and did not want to look “overdone” but the makeup she used was so natural looking, I got SO MANY complements! And the makeup looked fabulous in all the photos, PLUS it stayed on the entire night even through the tears!! She did an excellent job, wasn’t terribly expensive and I would highly recommend Chrysta for her services.
